The project will increase the capacity of the existing plant from 1,000 tonne to 1,400 tonne of phosphoric acid per day. thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions will provide engineering and technical procurement services which will cover the plant’s reaction unit, filtration unit, dry rock grinding section and an additional cooling tower cell. The project is planned to be completed within a period of 22 months from the effective date of the contract. The phosphoric acid produced will be utilized by Paradeep Phosphates in producing phosphate fertilizers such as DAP (diammonium phosphate) and NPK (compound/multi-nutrient fertilizers). The company is in the process of revamping their DAP-NPK facility as well.
