Isuzu Motors defers BS VI vehicle launch to 2nd quarter of FY-21

MUMBAI: Owing to prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, Japanese automaker Isuzu Motors India has delayed its BS VI product launch to second quarter of FY-21. A firmer date will be announced closer to the launch the company said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the company also informed its customers across the country regarding the current service schedules and eligibility.

All vehicles whose warranty expires/expired during the period 15 March ‘20 – 15 April ‘20 will now have their warranty extended until end-May 2020. Similarly, all vehicles that were due for Periodic Maintenance Service during the period 15 March ’20 – 15 April ‘20 can now avail their services until end-May 2020.

The Indian automotive market is transitioning from BS IV emission norms to BS VI emission norms from 1st of April 2020.

The above is in line with the current prevailing situation and any changes to the same owing to the evolving scenario that may compel further changes will be announced separately.

“We wish all people and our customers safety in the confines of their homes and urge everyone to take all safety precautionary measures to ward the pandemic away,” added the statement.

Established in 2012, Isuzu Motors India sells the vehicles like ISUZU D-MAX V-Cross – a lifestyle and adventure pick-up and the ISUZU mu-X, a premium 7-seater SUV in the personal vehicle segment and variants of ISUZU D-MAX pick-ups – S-CAB and Regular Cab, for the commercial segment.
