Walmart Black Friday Deals 2019: Everything You Need to Know

[ad_1]

Black Friday is the biggest retail day in America, and although Walmart retained the crown in 2018, Amazon roared along in second place and actually managed to take the lead on Cyber Monday. Whether Walmart will stay ahead of Amazon in total sales for Black Friday 2019 remains to be seen. Regardless of the final ranking, however, you can count on excellent deals from the megastore on just about every type of gift and gadget under the sun, from toys and tools to 4K TVs and Apple smartwatches.

Other retailers definitely keep their eyes on Amazon’s deals, especially on unassuming items like Instant Pots, Dyson vacuums, and Keurig coffee makers that attract hordes of shoppers who often stick around and end up spending more money on pricier electronics. To keep a competitive edge, Walmart typically doesn’t spill the beans on its Black Friday sale too far ahead of time, but the company just dropped some juicy details on dates and specific deals for the big day — which includes some early tech discounts in the run-up to Black Friday.

What to expect from Walmart

To get some ideas on what to expect from Walmart’s best Black Friday deals, we can simply look back at what we’ve seen over the past 12 months. During the past year, Walmart has focused on electronics, including smartphones, smart home products, notebook computers, tablets, and small kitchen appliances. It’s no secret that Walmart typically has the best selections of 4K TVs and often the lowest prices, too, even on regular shopping days.

If there are items on your wish list that Walmart offers at great prices on Black Friday, we suggest you jump for them as soon as you see them. Even with the massive inventories, Walmart and other merchants build for Black Friday, the hottest deals can and do sell out very quickly. Black Friday is also the best time of the year to score discounts on big-ticket electronics like televisions, gaming consoles, and computers.

On the other hand, if something you want is no longer available online for shipping, chances are good that you’ll be able to still take advantage of the deal prices through local store pickup for a bit longer. Having physical retail locations all over the country is one enormous advantage Walmart still has over online-only stores like Amazon.

What we saw at Walmart last Black Friday

It’s unlikely that any other retailer will be able to match Walmart’s prices on smartphones, and the store has historically offered the cheapest big-screen 4K TVs from major brands. For televisions and smartphones in particular (and we’ll add smartwatches into the mix this year, too), if they’re on your list, be sure to keep your eyes on Walmart — and this post — during the next few weeks.

Last year we saw some incredible deals during the weeks leading up to Black Friday, including some short-term discounts on limited quantities of 4K TVs that were better than you could find anywhere else. We also saw rapid price changes on some items in 2018, notably on kitchen appliances like Instant Pots, but on some other products, too, such as robot vacuum. When the major retailers start price wars on select products, you can be sure that Walmart will respond quickly.

In 2018, Walmart began the weekend sale at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving night in stores and all day online. For Black Friday 2019, Walmart’s big sale kicks off online at 10 p.m. on November 27 (the day before Thanksgiving), and in stores at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving evening just like last year. Walmart is also running some early Black Friday deals starting today with even more coming down the pipe over the next couple weeks, so be sure read on to see what goodies you can score right now.

Walmart deals going on now

Walmart has many items on sale pretty much year-round, but during the next several weeks, the deals will become even sweeter and much more frequent. The retailer just started putting up some early Black Friday discounts today; currently, there are excellent deals available on 4K smart TVs, Apple Watches, smartphones, notebook computers, tablets, headphones, drones, and smart home devices. Even more pre-Black Friday deals are coming on November 22, so be sure to keep an eye on this page and we’ll do our part to keep you in the loop.
