Black Friday and Cyber Monday are right around the corner. With so many retailers and websites offering deals on these days, it can be overwhelming choosing what company to give your business to. Target’s strategy for Black Friday and Cyber Monday sets them apart from Walmart and Amazon. Each week Target posts multi-page colorful ads online with sales and deals organized by category. Target refers to shoppers as guests and this is highlighted by the retailers’ efforts to make shopping online and in physical stores as convenient and easy as possible.
Target makes a big deal about offering goods for the same prices to everyone with no membership required — an unveiled shot at Amazon. During the year, Target often has exclusive deals on shipping and additional discounts for shoppers who use store-branded REDCard debit and credit cards. Target also works with Shipt, the grocery home delivery service, for local deliveries of orders placed online.
What to expect and Target holiday hours
You can expect more doorbuster deals from Target this year, especially for 4K TVs, vacuums of all types, small appliances like Instant Pots, and possibly for smart home components, particularly Google Assistant-compatible devices. Target also focuses on games and gaming consoles and accessories, and you can expect a wide selection of deals for gamers at stores and online. Target has announced its Black Friday hours as well:
- Thursday, November 28 – Doors open 5 pm
- Friday, November 29 – Doors close 1 am Friday and re-open 7 am
Target just released a Black Friday sneak peek and announced a Preview Sale that begins this Friday, 8th of November. If you download the target app you can stay up to date on the deals as they are announced. In the meantime, check out the list below of Black Friday preview deals.
What Target did last year
Last year Target opened on Thanksgiving Day for eight hours at 5 p.m. and then reopened on Black Friday, reopening later on Black Friday at 7 a.m. Target kept shoppers’ coming back with new doorbuster deals throughout Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year during Prime Day, Target announced its Target Deals Days, so we may see that strategy repeated before and after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Target has Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on more than just electronics and digital media, but some of its most exciting deals were for TVs, laptops, smart home devices, and home appliances.
Target deals going on now
The retailer is hosting online-only deals now and will continue to do so right up to Black Friday. Current deals include exceptional prices on Apple products, particularly for iPads, Apple Watches, and AirPods. You’ll also find 4K TVs with significant discounts as well as sales in every major electronics category.
Some of the Doorbuster deals featured during the Preview Sale are listed below:
