Laszlo Posset, Managing Director, T-Systems ICT India said, “We currently have 1,500 people in India and the target is to get to 5,000 over the next two-three years. The success of our operations in the country, over the years, led us to accelerate our expansion with a new India headquarters facility in Pune. We are excited to add new digital capabilities with the incredible talent available in the region and explore new opportunities along with our strong German legacy to engage with our customers.”
T-Systems is a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, a Fortune 100 firm.
The company has set up a new facility in Pune, which would also be an innovation hub and invest in skilling its employees to work on the cloud, data analytics and mobile apps to provide high-calibre analytics and automation-led services.
Adel Al-Saleh, CEO, T-Systems International, said, “The investment in the new facility reiterates the strategic importance of India in the T-Systems global business roadmap. We continue to grow with our vision to become a global leader and build an integrated portfolio of scalable digital services with our robust software solutions.”
T-Systems India has offices in Pune, Bengaluru and Gurugram and works with companies across sectors like automotive, energy, healthcare, public sector and transport and logistics, among others.
Posset said that the decision to expand its India presence was largely to tap into the talent pool here in order to serve global customers. Al-Saleh added that while there was a skills gap in certain skills in various markets, India provided access to raw technical talent which was easier to train in a shorter period of time.
