Realme names Salman Khan as brand ambassador

Bollywood actor Salman Khan will endorse the Chinese smartphone maker Realme, the companysaid on Wednesday.

“Realme has today announced Salman Khaas its brand ambassador, endorsing its upcoming realme 6 and realme 6 Pro,” the company said in a statement.

This is the first time Salman Khan has collaborated with a smartphone brand in India. Other popular brands such asOppo, Vivo and Xiaomi had roped in various celebrities to advertise theirproducts.For example, Oppo signed actors Ranbeer Kapoor, Katrina Kaif andsinger-rapper Badshah to endorse its Reno series.

Aamir Khan is the brandambassador of Vivo and Sara Ali Khan has been advertising the brand’s S series. Redmi, Xiaomi’s sister brand, has roped in actor Ranveer Singh.

“Having Salman Khan on board with a mammoth fan following will help usreach and tap into that target audience of ours,” Madhav Sheth, Vice President of Realme and CEO of Realme India said.

“I am happy to be the face of the world’s fastest growing smartphone brand Realme. Its ethos of ‘Dare to Leap’ is something that I strongly resonate with. The Realme 6 series is stylish and edgy and I am sure it will find favour with consumers,” said actor-producer Salman Khan.
