Milad Un Nabi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings on Prophet Muhammad birthday.
On Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended greetings, hoping there is peace all around. “Greetings on Milad-Un-Nabi. President Ram Nath Kovind also extended wishes on Milad-Un-Nabi.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra specially wished people of Jammu and Kashmir on Eid Milad-Un Nabi, saying “Greetings for Eid Milad-Un Nabi, specially to brothers and sisters of Jammu and Kashmir who are facing difficult times since past four months.”

The birthday of Prophet Muhammad, the founder of Islam, falls on the 12th Rabi’ ul-awwal, the third month of the Muslim lunar calendar.His birth date, also known as Mawlid, however, has been a matter of contention. The legality of Mawlid has been the subject of intense debate and has been described as “one of the most polemical discussions in Islamic law by Muslim scholars”. While 12th Rabi’ al-awwal is the accepted date among most of the Sunni scholars, Shi’a scholars regard 17th Rabi’ al-awwal as the accepted date.
