Jio New Plan: Jio launches special work-from-home data plan; here are the details

At a time when the coronavirus outbreak is greatly disrupting day-to-day operations of companies, a huge number of employees have found themselves forced to work from home.

While the convenience of working from home can hardly be overstated, it also invariably leads to a spike in data bills.

Reliance Jio has now come up with a special new plan for people who are working from home.

Jio’s new scheme is similar with those of ACT Fibernet and BSNL that were introduced a few days ago.

Jio Work From Home plan

Reliance Jio’s special work from home plan has 2GB data per day on offer. It is valid for a period of 51 days.

A point to note is that this plan only offers customers internet services, and doesn’t not provide any call or SMS benefits.

Consumers will avail high-speed data up to a total usage limit of 120 GB. After that, browsing speed will come down to 64 kbps — speeds at which one can browse the net but can’t stream videos.

BSNL’s new plan is for landline users, and provides subscribers free internet up to 5 GB. In comparison, ACT Fibernet’s plan gives customers unlimited data at 300Mbps speed until March 31, the last day of the lockdown as originally planned.
