IIT Delhi students receives 10% more job offers than last year

NEW DELHI: Students at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi have received 10% more job offers than last year. Over 960 students at the IIT Delhi have got job offers in the first phase of placement that started on December 1 and ended on December 13. Students have bagged 187 pre-placement offers (PPOs) up to now, an increase of 8% over last year. This is the highest number of offers received by the institute compared to the past years from various domestic and international organisations, according to the IIT.

This phase according to the institute recorded highest numbers in terms of selection of students and crossed all benchmarks of the previous years. Over 400 organisations registered for the recruitment and offered over 600 job profiles.

“We are happy to see a robust placement season this year. IIT Delhi has interacted with over 200 industry partners in the last five years on a variety of research topics,” said V. Ramgopal Rao, Director, IIT Delhi.

The second phase of the placement season in IIT Delhi will start in the first week of the January and end in May 2020.
