The placements season at Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) concluded recently. In a press release issued on Tuesday, IIIT Delhi claimed that the placement record this season was impressive.
The release said that students from the batch graduating in 2020 received 562 offers so far, including 310 full time and 252 Internship offers. The institute further claimed that out of the offers received, there was one international offer, which was made by Facebook.
The institute said a Computer Science engineer bagged a pay package of over Rs 1.45 crore, while a couple of other students bagged annual salary close to Rs 43 lakh and Rs 33 lakh. According to the release, the current average compensation at IIIT Delhi was Rs 16.33 lakh and the present median compensation was Rs 14.85 lakh (inclusive of all UG and PG programmes).

According to the release, some of the top companies that recruited from the campus were: Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, Qualcomm, Nvidia, Wadhwani AI, WDC, Tower Research, HSBC MathWorks, Harmon Kardon, Reliance &Samsung R&D etc.
