Ex-Voda Idea exec Rahul Vatts joins Bharti Airtel as regulatory head

NEW DELHI: Telecom major Bharti Airtel has roped in former Vodafone Idea executive vice president Rahul Vatts as its new chief regulatory officer.

“In this role, Rahul will lead the regulatory function and implement practices that comply with the regulatory framework across all lines of business,” a company official said Wednesday.

“Rahul joins us from Vodafone Idea Ltd., where he was EVP- Regulatory and Corporate Affairs. Rahul has over 25 years of experience and has previously worked with Idea cellular and AT&T,” the official said.

Airtel confirmed the development.

Vatts will replace Bharti Airte’s former regulatory officer Ravi Gandhi who had quit the position last month.
