Being a flagship product in any Corsair line means you have a lot to live up to and the K95 RGB Platinum really does. Nifty Cherry MX RGB Speed (or Brown) switches, dedicated macro and media keys, a double-sided wrist-rest, replacement gaming keys, outstanding levels of key and lighting customisation, the new LightEdge LED strip, and a combination of hardware-based and software-based profiles managed through a decent and much improved software interface make this a keyboard to be reckoned with. £180 is crazy money, of course (and we’ve been told it could well go up within a month), but, as far as keyboards go, there’s a new top dog in town.

This really is as good as it gets for a mechanical gaming keyboard. For the last eight months I have been using the K70 RGB Rapidfire and as much as I’ve enjoyed that keyboard, I’m keen to set it aside in favor of the new K95 RGB Platinum.
