The number of the dead now stands at 308, while that of cured/discharged/migrated cases is 857.
Maharashtra has by far the highest confirmed cases at 1,985, followed by Delhi (1,154) and Tamil Nadu 1,075, official records showed.
The new data comes in the backdrop of an almost confirmed extension of the ongoing pan-India lockdown till the end of this month.
Meanwhile, globally confirmed cases have now gone up to 1.8 million (as of March 13 morning). Over 1,14,000 people have died from the disease so far.
