Coronavirus cases in India: Lockdown, Day 19: 8,356 confirmed cases in India so far, deaths at 273


On the 19th day of the nationwide lockdown, India’s official tally showed a jump of over 900 cases in the past 24 hours, taking the total count to 8,447 with 273 deaths.

Meanwhile, the pandemic appeared to be worsening around the globe, with Spain’s three-day streak of falling deaths broken, and US surpassing Italy in Covid-19 casualties. The Spanish spurt pushed Europe’s death toll beyond 75,000.
