NEW DELHI: Chinese handset maker Realme is planning to launch 5G smartphones across price points for the Indian market besides 20 new products and expects to double its revenue in the country to Rs 30,000 crore in 2020, its top official said.

The company is planning to launch smart TV, smart bands, smartwatches, and other connected ecosystem products, with the newer categories expected to contribute Rs 3,000 crore or 10% to overall sales by this year end, Realme’s CEO Madhav Sheth told ET.

Realme India clocked Rs 14,700 crore in sales in 2019, having sold 15 million smartphones which it wants to take up to 30 million units in 2020.

The executive also denied any major disruption in its handset supply chain for the Indian market. He added that the company has already factored in the possible delay in component supplies in these new launches.

“Had there been an impact, we would have delayed launches. Factories have resumed operations in China and things are getting normalised,” he added.
