BENGALURU: Recruitment services provider Catenon has announced it will set up operations in Singapore to further strengthen its APAC presence and cater to the rising need for global tech talent.

The need for tech talent across the world has been exponentially growing as every industry digitises itself to stay relevant, competitive and ensure it works on real-time for its end users. With a vision to be part of the APAC tech talent growth story, the Singapore office is envisioned to become a talent gateway between south-east Asia and the rest of the world.

Along with the expansion, the company has announced the new office will be led by Anupam Bhattacharya. Coming with more than 20 years of experience across business and financial leadership roles including regional CFO for large global companies like Monsanto and Carrier, Bhattacharya has come on board as partner and executive director of Catenon APAC.

The search firm began its APAC operations with its first office in India in 2010, and now with its fifth APAC office in Singapore, both operations will work together along with other Catenon offices across the globe to focus on the recruitment needs of global and domestic customers across financial, technology, PE/VC, and agri sectors.

“More than the number of clients, we are proud of the outcomes we have been able to deliver for the APAC market so far. We have been able to hold a steady 85% conversion and 90% client retention since our entry into India, and we hope to build upon this as we expand our APAC operations to Singapore. Through the addition of our Singapore office, we look to grow by 30-40% CAGR in the coming years, and we are excited to have Anupam join us on this journey,” said Gaurav Chattur, managing director – APAC, Catenon.

“Over the past couple of years, I received numerous queries for talent acquisition and referrals, and this trend has only been increasing. I was keen to explore this opportunity and find a partner to cater to the rising recruitment need as Singapore continues on its growth journey,” said Bhattacharya on his new appointment. “We can leverage Catenon’s global reach and experience to create a talent bridge to Singapore, especially for tech and high-potential talent.”
