Burnley once again failed to pick up a win today as the took on newly-promoted Wolves.
As a result, Burnley now sit dead bottom of the Premier League with just one point.
‘We’re in a bit of fog at the moment’
Speaking after Burnley’s defeat to Wolves, Sean Dyche believes his side are stuck in a fog and need some confidence back.
Dyche told Sky Sports:
“No complaints, Wolves played well.
“They are a good side and we knew we would have to defend resolutely, which to be fair I thought we did – our ‘keeper played well.
“We were a bit more like ourselves defensively. It was a poor goal but other than that we got blocks in, were resolute and stayed in the game where we could have got something.
“But attacking wise it was nowhere near enough, not enough quality, guile and energy really. That’s got to change.
“We’re in a bit of fog at the moment, we collectively have to get our way out of that. We’ve been here before, we know it changes quickly, but we’ve got to work to make it change.
“When there is a fog around everything physical seems hard and people get nervy on the technical side.
“When the players are playing with confidence everything flows a bit easier but to bring that flow back you have to be strong physically and mentally.”
Dyche’s men kicked off their season with a 0-0 draw vs Southampton.
They then hosted Watford and would be beaten 3-1.
Burnley were then smashed 4-2 by newly-promoted Fulham and would then go on to lose 2-0 to Manchester United.
Then today, Burnley were dominated by Wolves and only lost 1-0 thanks to some excellent saves from Joe Hart.
Their next game is at home to Bournemouth.
