O’Rourke campaigned Thursday in Manchester, NH, and according to Bradner, the parking ticket wasn’t his only departure from the norm. “Now speaking to the crowd inside, @BetoORourke starts his stump speech in Spanish — the first time I’ve seen him do that outside Texas,” Bradner tweeted.

Thursday’s parking ticket was not O’Rourke’s first brush with the law — the former Texas congressman once reportedly tried to flee the scene of a high-speed crash. (RELATED: WITNESS: Beto Tried To Flee Drunk Driving Scene After Causing High Speed Crash)

O’Rourke addressed the incident, which occurred in 1998, in a statement. “I drove drunk and was arrested for a DWI in 1998. As I’ve publicly discussed over the last 20 years, I made a serious mistake for which there is no excuse,” he explained.
