Bar chain owner: ‘This is pure and simple business torture’

The owner of a chain of bars in the Midlands and the north of England has warned the government that the hospitality industry is on the brink of financial collapse.

Martin Greenhow, who runs the MOJO bar chain, has urged ministers to rethink their rules on pubs and bars or come up with a rescue plan for the industry. Otherwise, he warns, hundreds of thousands of jobs could be lost and thousands of businesses will have to close.
