Apple AirTag to track your belongings launched at $29


Apple just announced the Apple AirTag after months of rumours and speculation around the product. The Apple Airtag will be small devices that users will be able to put in their bags or attach to wallets and other belongings. These belongings can then be constantly monitored using the Apple Find My app.

The AirTag feature a circular design, unlike the square Samsung Galaxy SmartTags that offer similar functionality. It features a built-in speaker, accelerometer, Bluetooth LE, and a user-replaceable battery. The device will be able to attach to different objects and will also feature a keychain with a little leather pouch that can fit the AirTag in them.

Apple AirTags: Specifications and features

The Apple AirTag will work through the Apple Find My network. Using the Find My application on the iPhone, iPad or any other device, AirTag users will be able to locate their belongings easily. The company has stated that the AirTag tracker will provide a whole year of battery life.

The Apple AirTag does not story ant location data or history inside the deviec and uses end-to-end encryption for communications between an AirTag and the Find My network.

Pricing and availability

The Apple AirTags will be available starting at $29. Users who buy a pack of four AirTags will need to pay only $99. Pre-orders for the Apple AirTag will begin this Friday.
