Ahead of Maharashtra trust vote tomorrow, all BJP MLAs to meet at 9 pm – india news


The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has been asked by the Supreme Court to prove its majority in the Maharashtra assembly on Wednesday, called all its MLAs for a meeting at an exclusive sports club in Mumbai today at 9 pm.

Union minister and senior BJP leader Raosaheb Danve said the party respects the Supreme Court order to hold a floor test in the state.

“We will respect the apex court verdict. BJP held its core group meeting after the Supreme Court results. We decided that we will call all our MLAs at Garware Club tonight at 9 pm” said Danve.

Maharashtra deputy CM Ajit Pawar met with CM Fadnavis at latter’s residence after the top court ruled in the favour of Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress combine. The court ordered the floor test to be conducted through an open ballot and asked it be telecast live.
