NEW DELHI: A new private-public partnership initiative called Aarogya Setu Mitr, available on the Aarogaya Setu app, will offer free online Covid-19-related consultation from the Tata Group, Tech Mahindra and Swasth, which is a collaboration of other related entities.

Aarogya Setu Mitr will be a separate site and won’t be able to access individual data from Aarogya Setu. The initiative was facilitated by the offices of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Prime Minister and Niti Aayog and will operate under them, with voluntary participation from organisations, industry coalitions and startups that have helped create this platform for citizens to connect with some key services from their homes.

They include free tele-consultation for those with Covid-19-like symptoms and ancillary services at market rates such as home collection of samples for diagnostics and medicine delivery.

The three private companies listed for free tele-consultation are Swasth, Tata Bridgital Health, which is a healthcare initiative of the Tata Group, and Connectsense Telehealth, a platform from Tech Mahindra.

Swasth is a collaboration powered by 1mg, Practo, CureFit, Apollo Hospitals, Medanta, Manipal Hospitals and Columbia Asia Hospital.

Tata Bridgital Health offers audio, video and chat consultations with a network of over 100 doctors, while Tech Mahindra’s platform offers video and audio consultations with doctors from Nightingale and other hospitals.

Home lab tests at market rates will be offered by 1mg, Dr Lal Path Labs, SRL Diagnostics, Thyrocare and MetroPolis, while online medicines at such rates will be offered by 1mg, Netmeds, Pharmeasy and MedLife.

Telemedicine companies on the portal will have a minimum of 100 doctors available, take full responsibility of KYC for every doctor, not resort to solicitation of patients and assure minimum 95% service levels.

The e-diagnostic players will offer home collection service in at least 25 cities, have the ability to do Covid-19 sample home collection, have NABL accreditation, have a phlebotomist tracking system available and guarantee 95% minimum service levels.

The e-pharmacy would service minimum 10,000 pin codes and have three years-plus experience, along with guaranteeing 95% service levels.
