In an incident highlighting the state of minority religions in Pakistan, a mob surrounded and threatened to occupy a historic Gurudwara in the nation’s Punjab region. The Nankana Sahib Gurudwara became the object of ire of the mob which was led by the family of a man accused of forcibly converting a Sikh woman. The Indian government strongly condemned vandalism at the historic structure.
